When you tick the ‘Delete cookies and other site and plug-in data’ option in the list of boxes to be checked, you are erasing the information all the associated data that has been sent and stored on your browser for good. There will be no traces of these cookies and other site and plug-in data. The same applies when you also tick the ‘Clear data from hosted apps’ box. What you are doing here is getting rid of all the information that has been stored on your machine which came from all other applications you might not have been in direct contact with yourself but found their way onto your machine as third party apps.

Ticking the ‘Clear saved passwords’ box means that you are choosing to erase and delete all passwords which have been saved to the PC or laptop. You will also lose all the Chrome settings that you might have set in place and personalized. These are things to think about before you click and tick this box.

Choosing the ‘Clear saved Autofill form data’ box means that you have chosen to delete all data pertaining to contacts and all the settings which you have made for your accounts. At times it is good to save such information so that you can quickly fill in any other forms online. So choosing to tick this box means you will have to start filling in internet forms from scratch.
